Turniej WPT L.A. Poker Classic zakończył sie zwycięstwem Phil'a Ivey'a, który jednocześnie pobił rekord cyklu.

Ivey jest jedynym graczem w historii WPT, który osiem razy zasiadał do finałowego stolika. W finale, w którym triumfował Ivey przy stole zasiedli: Quinn Do, Nam Le, Phil Hellmuth, Charles Moore i Scott Montgomery.

Pojedynek Heads-up toczył się między Philem i Quinnem Do. Ostatecznie wygrał Ivey ze swoim fulem (asy na ósemki) przeciwko dwóm parom Do. Nagrodą za pierwsze miejsce było wpisowe w wysokości $25 000 do turnieju WPT Championship oraz $1 596 100. Dzięki temu zwycięstwu wygrane turniejowe Phila Iveya wynoszą obecnie $8 742 652.
